Dear Congregational Family,
1. Like Arrows: The movie “Like Arrows: The Art of Parenting” is showing Tuesday and Thursday this week only in select theaters (Robinson Cinemark one of them). It is put out by the Christian Ministry, Family Life Today. The movie is very well done and focuses on the challenges of being a parent in today’s world. I would encourage you to see it. Perhaps you could offer to watch a young couple’s children so they could see it. There is follow up parenting group discussion material that we should think about utilizing in the near future as well.
2. Psalm 127:3,4: “Behold, children are a gift of the Lord, … like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth.” Let us be intentional in looking for ways to encourage our families and to ministry to the children of our congregation!
3. Sunday School: This Sunday, I will be sharing a continued follow up regarding “The History of the Bible” as was introduced last Sunday in connection with our trip to the Museum of the Bible. I encourage you to join us!
(I think that we will have a church trip to the Museum of the Bible at some point!)
God bless you as we continue,
“Growing Together in our Faith as the Family of God.”
