Dear Congregational Family,
1. Spring! It is hard to believe that it is spring, as the snow continues to fall. This morning I read a “scientific guide to the first day of spring” in which the author endeavored to explain the intricacies of the spring equinox and the seasons experienced on planet earth. I found it interesting (to say the least!) that the reason given for the delicate balance of the earth, its rotation, its specialized planetary tilt of 35.5 degrees, and ability to sustain life, etc. was that “billions of years ago, a massive object hit the earth” which fortunately caused it to fall into a perfect orbit, rotation and tilt to sustain life! I guess believing that God created it perfectly, was just too much!!
2. Pre-nuptial agreements: It’s been the talk of some in the news about how foolish Prince Harry is to not make Meghan Markle sign a pre-nuptial agreement, in order to safeguard his $42 million dollars of assets in case of divorce. I found it rather refreshing when he replied that he “is determined that his marriage will be a lasting one, so there’s no need for him to sign anything.”
God bless you as we continue,
“Growing Together in our Faith as the Family of God.”
