Dear Congregational Family,
1. TNT: “Tuesday Night Together”: Last night our TNT youth group met at our house for brats, dogs, games and fellowship. I had the privilege of sharing my testimony with them of my spiritual life journey. It was a great time together and gave me renewed occasion to reflect on what a blessing it is to our congregation to have a focused ministry to our youth. They are a wonderful group of young people! Thank you Brandon (and Bekah & youth advisors) for your dedicated ministry.

2. Church Community as the birthplace for Christians: Recently I read the statistics of peoples’ conversion faith in Christ. It was rather shocking to see that only .5% come through mass evangelism, such as a Billy Graham crusade. But, 79% are converted to Christ and enter into the church because of personal contact with a relative or friend! Obviously, it is the Holy Spirit that brings people to faith, but what this highlights, is the importance of the “community of faith” in bringing people to faith! This is especially true today in our Postmodern society where people are convinced of truth through participation, not consumer appeals or reasoned arguments. (Robert Weber, Ancient-Future Evangelism, p.61,62)
We need to be very intentional in inviting people to join us in the community of the family of God and to live out our faith together.
3. Church Picnic: Remember to keep the church picnic on your schedule for Sunday! This will be a wonderful time to “food, folks and fun” with games, music (Praise Team and VBS kids), face painting, and great fellowship together. It will held on the ballfield by church. The big tent will be set up, providing plenty of shade for all.
God bless you as we continue,
“Growing Together in our Faith as the Family of God.”
